A3 - Piriformis & Posterior Hip Capsule Stretch

Many of us often feel tightness in the front of our hips, but don't realize that our posterior hip capsule needs attention. When we don't have the appropriate amount of space and mobility in our posterior hip, it actually impedes are internal hip rotation. This can limit our leg extension and gait while walking and running.

If you don't feel any tightness or limitation in your posterior hip (right underneath your butt or sits bone) with this stretch, you may still feel a stretch in your glutes and/or piriformis.

Regardless, take note of which side may be tighter, and give that side more attention.
